The Socio Economic Development Association for Disable (SEDAD) envisions a future where persons with disabilities, marginalized women, children, and communities are empowered, self-reliant, and socially included. Building on its previous successes, SEDAD has formulated a comprehensive future plan to expand its programs, enhance capacity, and maximize the impact of its interventions across Bangladesh.


Key Focus Areas of Future Plan

  1. Women Empowerment:
    • Expand skill development, leadership training, and micro-entrepreneurship programs.
    • Strengthen initiatives aimed at preventing gender-based violence and enhancing women’s social and economic participation.
  2. Child Care and Development:
    • Establish more autism care centers and inclusive learning programs for children with disabilities.
    • Enhance nutrition, health, and psychosocial support for vulnerable children and teenagers.
  3. Disability Development Programs:
    • Increase distribution of assistive devices and accessibility services for persons with disabilities.
    • Promote inclusive education and vocational training opportunities to ensure long-term empowerment.
  4. Training and Capacity Building:
    • Provide computer literacy, soft skills, financial literacy, and vocational training for youth, women, and disabled individuals.
    • Expand leadership development and motivational programs to foster self-reliance and confidence.
  5. Entrepreneurship Support Program:
    • Offer microfinance, business skill training, and startup support for women and disabled entrepreneurs.
    • Facilitate market linkages and mentoring programs to ensure sustainable income generation.
