The Disability Development Program of SEDAD (Socio-Economic Development Association for Disabled) focuses on enhancing the quality of life, social inclusion, and empowerment of persons with disabilities in Bangladesh. Recognizing the unique challenges faced by people with disabilities, SEDAD implements comprehensive initiatives that address education, skills, accessibility, and rights awareness to foster independence and equal opportunities.

Key Activities

  • Capacity Building: Providing training and skill development tailored to the needs of persons with disabilities to improve employability and self-reliance.

  • Inclusive Education Support: Facilitating access to formal and informal education programs, including special education resources and inclusive classroom initiatives.

  • Advocacy for Rights: Promoting awareness of legal rights and protections under national disability laws and international frameworks such as the UNCRPD.

  • Assistive Services: Supporting the use of mobility aids, adaptive technologies, and other assistive devices to enhance daily functioning and participation in society.
